Thumbnail creation is supported by ecto. Once you have picked an image in the Upload window, you can switch to the "Thumbnail" tab and there you can specify the thumbnail size, thumbnail filename pre and suffix. More options are coming in the next version such as converting to different file formats.

You're wholly correct Alex, thanks for pointing that out.

How did I miss that feature, I wonder? Probably through not using it during the times I used ecto last week. I can see in 1.0.8.4 that the options for thumbnail creation are extensive, which is great for a TypePad user in particular.

Btw, I've just re-read your review and realised that you may have misunderstood the "template" feature. The "Post Template" feature is more akin to Word's template, in which you can save a predefined set of text for a post and load them up in future. And this feature has nothing to do with the blog template and it will work with any TP account level.

Neville Hobson

Thanks, Alex. I guess you're right: I did not fully understand that feature. I didn't really explore it as I mentioned in the review, probably through not understanding it fully :)

The help file with ecto is a little sparse...
